schools and the school committee. Sometimes it's hard to sort through it all. The resources on this
site are designed to help you do exactly that.
Plymouth's High School Improvement Effort
Thursday 29th 2007 - The Patriot Ledger is reporting the results of the MSBA meeting yesterday. The
article confirms what the Boston Globe reported yesterday but has some additional comments from

Wednesday 28th 2007 - According to today's Boston Globe Plymouth is among 83 towns that have
made it through round one of the Massachusetts School Building Authority's new $2.5 billion school

Green School Research
A few months ago School Committee member Mrs. Margie Burgess provided the committee with a
presentation on the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative which she attended in March of this
year. The links to the documents below will provide a wealth of information to anyone interested to
learning more about the topic area of green schools.

Occasionally formal presentations are made to the School Committee on various topics. They will be
posted here whenever they are available in an electronic format.
Read more about the district's extremely successful Energy Management Program. Put together by
Jay Tobin, Energy Director, this presentation explains the program in detail.
The Plymouth School District Testing Report summarizes student performance in a variety of ways.
Michell Roy provided the School Committee with an excellent review of the report in the following

David Peck, Chairman of the Plymouth Building Committee, provided the School Committee with a
status report of the PCIS HVAC project. The presentation shows a project that is on time and under

The School Committee has approved a project which will put in place an observatory at PCIS. The
observatory will be able to transmit signal throughout the district. PCIS Observatory
This presentation, entitled, "Getting Our Students To College and Careers Preparing for Success
After High School" should be mandatory reading for all parents of kids at the secondary level.
Nicola Micozzi Jr., K-12 Science Coordinator, gave us a presentation entitled, "Science Technology
